The air turns cold, the wind stirring the trees viciously, but you instinctively know this isn't some storm - there's something terribly wrong. You know, instinctively, that the sun should be rising, but it does not. The moon is far larger than it should be, eerily orange, casting a horrible glow around the land. And then, quite suddenly, you realize the worst truth. It's not just the landscape that's changed. It's you. -------------------------- While IC it's the tail end of summer, we all know that Halloween's right around the corner! So we've brought to you a fun event/contest that you'll have a week (Nov 1) to respond to! - There will be a 24 hour period of night across Somerset. Your post or thread can cover any time within this period! After 24 hours, everything returns to normal. It is uncertain as to whether or not Chaos has a hand in this. - For the duration of this 24 hours, your character will be transformed somehow - the sky is the limit! Horns, wings, oozing goo, whatever you want! This will not affect powers or anything like that, but you have totally free reign as far as physical mutations. No man-made objects, as ever. The bigger, scarier, more outlandish, the better! After the contest closes, posts will be judged and prizes given. The more entries there are, the more categories we'll have for prizes! There will be participation prizes as well. - If you're choosing to have a thread with another character for this contest, it does not need to be finished to be judged. As long as the initial descriptions and such are there, you're good to go! - As with the descent event, your thread can be posted anywhere on Somerset. After it's made, it will be added to the below list! Happy haunting! ------------------------- Current Entries Moonsetter - Tigris - Lexx Sharp Bite - Pixies - Umbra Ice to Fire - Zayev- Eti Dead Reckoning - Rubedo - Lirriel, Mokarin - Umbra, Dionysus - Ray Corvus - Kota - Raehein Monster Mash - Kneph - Rotwhyler Image Credit |
