THERE'S SOMETHiNG iN ME THAT SOFTLY KiLLS EVERYONE AROUND,
Darkness; that was all that Killjoy saw in these caves, all she felt. Tendrils of black seemingly weaved through her pelt, constricting her in the chain of tunnels that the caverns created, a maze for those who were not careful. She however had the common sense to track her movements with utmost attention to detail, allowing her to turn around and being able to simply meander on out where she came from. However, she was not ready for that quite yet. Killjoy found she was fond of this place; she felt right at home in here, with dim lighting from small glowing crystals. She could hear the smallest of noises for they echoed strongly here, and she swore she could even hear the foot prints of arachnids. Her ears were planted tall on her head, rotating to capture every sound she could, indulging in selfishness as she took in everything so that she might come to know this place from top to bottom.
She was wandering it for what seemed like hours, though in reality the isolation of the cave had tampered with her concept of what it even was. Only thirty minutes had she been in there before Killjoy decided to turn around, and make her way out. When she saw the mouth of the cave, she smiled, proud of herself and navigational abilities. She took her first step out into the cool night, seeing the sun had long since hid behind the horizon in it's great escape. Her eyes darted up to the moon, allowing the coolness of the wind refresh her. She sighed, looking up at the sky as she wandered out of the crystal caverns, paws carrying her with grace. She had an uneventful day, having met no one new nor finding her loved ones whom she missed very much. She was frowning up at the stars before looking straight ahead, weaving her way now through some tree's surrounding the caves sniffing the ground.
Then, something completely amazing happened... Something beyond even the wise wolf's comprehension. Up there, in the sky... That was not the moon, no. That bright thing falling straight for Somerset was no moon, no planet, no- nothing like that. Though it appeared to be a white comet hurling straight for Xoac forest, Killjoy could feel the utter power it radiated, could see that it was something unworldly. It was a surreal experience, Killjoy standing there in a petrified manner watching that thing hurt to the earth. Her cognac eyes watched with fascination until the white ball made contact with the earth. She looked away closing her eyes as there was a blinding flash of neon light, keeping her eyes shut tight for a few moments. When she opened them, it was gone but something even more impossible happened as an intoxicating voice webbed into her mind.
'HELLO, YOU QUAINT CREATURES,MORTAL CREATURES OF FLESH AND DESIRE, YOU FAR MORE INTERESTING THAN ANY OF THE GODS YOU WORSHIP. I AM CHAOS, CHILDREN, AND SHOULD YOU NEED ME YOU NEED ONLY TO WISH IT, STRONGLY IN YOUR HEARTS. BUT FIRST, I WILL GIVE YOU EACH A GIFT. THINK OF YOUR HEARTS' DESIRE. SCREAM IT TO THE HEAVENS. I CAN GRANT YOU POWER, MY CHILDREN, IF YOU WOULD ONLY SPEAK IT. FOR I WILL SEE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE.' Killjoy cocked her head, looking around for someone... But it was a goddess, it was Chaos speaking to her and to all others who resided here. Killjoy became stiff, and looked to the sky. "Chaos, Goddess of mortals and immortals..." Killjoy wasn't sure how else to address the ethereal being, but there was no doubt in her mind that powerful voice in her head was something far greater than a goddess. I know not how worthy I am, but if you could... I would request an affinity with darkness; however you bless it to me, I would take it with the utmost gratitude." A cruel smile twisted onto her lips and she cackled with darkness in her heart, hoping she might be blessed with her request. And with your consent, I would use these powers in your name alone, seeing as your slumbered absence has ended. Everything I do, I will do for the sake of your desires, and not my own... Please, Goddess." Excitement flowed through her bloods now, anxiety eating at her alive.
