Whos to know if you soul will fade at all? The one you sold to fool the world You lost your self esteem along the way.
The green grass seemed to dance as a light breeze blew across the land. Padding slowly, but carefully was a creature with a mixture of whites, grey and creams that seemed to spread across his coat. Of course he stuck out, but he didn't seem to mind the fact. A pink tongue rolled out as he stopped noticing Dove Hills. 'I wonder why they call the hills Dove Hills. I highly doubt any dove would live out here, but then again I could be wrong.' He thought to himself as his left eye began scanning the area he was within for the little white bird.
Any wolf could tell that, Evir was blind in the right eye. His left eye held the color of purple while the right one seem to be a foggy grey color. It lacked the light of life a wolf would see flicker out of an elk just before the final blow. For the brute it seemed that someone had took half his life only allowing one eye to show that he was in fact still alive, but barely. Of course the example he used wasn't true because he was sure he was fully alive even though it didn't feel like it. Even so the eye caused trouble for him as he was surprised his sister has not found out he had left her side yet, but then again she was drastically annoying him with all her 'babying'. 'I can take care of myself perfectly fine! It's not like I'm blind in both eyes."
Shaking his head he then decide to continue on with his journey before anyone or anything could stop him. He headed towards Dove Hill deciding he might get some peace up there and maybe find some of those Doves if they truly lived here. At a mild pace he some how managed to get towards the base of the hill without any trouble.

Stretched out along the ground with her back to a large grey rock, Shri looked out over the rolling hills. Her particular hill was taller than most and she currently lay atop the summit, affording her nothing less than a lovely view of the land. For some time now she had idely been observing a small herd of deer moving along the next hill over, taking their time to graze on the lush grass—perhaps preparing themselves for the coming winter. She wondered if they would tough out the winter here or move on to warmer lands. Surely some would stay, but Shri would not be surprised if some of them moved on before too long. When the snow began to fall thick and heavy, it would be difficult for any creature to travel.
A crow's cry caught her attention and she glanced upwards to see the black form fly overhead. Except perhaps the birds. Gaze idly following the crow's path, she blinked when a flash of white caught her attention. Another wolf, and though it was still some distance away, she did not recognize them. Shri was feeling quite lazy today though. The air was cool, but the sun was for once out and warming her fur. The wolf was heading in her direction anyway, so instead of trotting toward the unknown wolf to greet them, she instead found herself staying where she was, watching with a keen eye.
As the wolf neared, she confirmed that it was no one she recognized and before long he had made his way to the foot of her hill. Well, it looked as if she would have to actually do something now. Cursing her laziness and feeling less prickly than normal (the sun must be having a positive effect on her), Shri rose and streched, feeling her back pop, before trotting down the hill. Halfway down the slope, she called out to the stranger. “You are wandering in Maira territory. Who are you?” She made her way to the base, looking the stranger over as she went before halting a few feet away. He was a white wolf and looked as if he’d be more at the home in one of the northern lands—not that she was one to say anything about that. But what most caught her gaze was the foggy eye, and though she did not show her surprise, Shri wondered what had caused that particular injury. ooc: I'm basically always open for new threads. : ) Though I think I might have exhausted my muse for today...

The rolling hills seemed to be peaceful, but his ears twitched as he stopped in his tracks at hearing another wolf. His gaze turned and he caght site of the she-wolf as she stopped not too far from him. It seemed the hills had been claimed by someone, he should have knew better, but still.
"I'm Evir and I didn't know a pack had claimed Dove Hills." He explain towards her hoping to show no threat after all, it wasn't like he was looking for a fight or anything. He just wanted to get away from his sister. His gaze glanced over the other taking it in, and felt an awkward silence before speaking up once again.
"If I may ask who you are?" He questioned as his head titled to the left side a bit. Tags... Shir/Open Word Count... Idk.. ; v; Too tired Wolf... Evir Notes... Sorry its short, but I'm tired.. :c

The wolf seemed peaceful enough as he introduced himself, explaining that he didn't know a pack had claimed Dove Hills. The thought that Maira's existence was not common knowledge felt odd. She should not be surprised though. It was not as if she'd made much of an effort to make themselves known. No, it was simply that after calling the land home for a few seasons it began to seem like she'd been here forever.
A brief silence followed Evir's reply before he spoke again to ask his own question. Sesnsing no ill will from the wolf, Shri settled into a straight-backed sit as she replied, "I am the alpha of Maira." And there was an undercurrent of pride there, a note that would not have been there a few seasons ago. "Shri Kanti. And what are you doing here, wandering into a land you thought unclaimed?"
Her gaze was sharp, words pointed. He might not be posing a threat, but Shri had no intention of allowing unknowns to wander her land without explaining themselves first. It was not out of a desire to run strangers off though. Rather, it was born of her need to protect those under her command. Pleasantries could come after such matters were handled. ooc: No worries! I'm perfectly happy with short posts. (:

"Pleasure to meet you, Shir Kanti and I came wandering to get away from my sister who is becoming quite annoying" The brute explained towards the she wolf as he noticed her sit back. He didn't mind that her voice was sharp when asking him the questions as he understood. It was almost like his sister in ways, but she only used that voice when other wolves made a little mistake towards him.
"Even so the land seems to be quite peaceful here too. I was just trying to get away, but it seems I stumbled in a good place... but if I'm a brother just let me know and I can take my leave."

Shri shook her head slightly. “So long as you mean my pack no harm, your presence is fine.” She had never been the most welcoming of wolves, though it was not from some inherent dislike of strangers. Certainly she would be observant around them but that was only prudent. Rather she was just one for blunt statements, moreso when it concerned the safety of her pack, and they were not always taken well. Still, Evir seemed to have taken no offense, instead simply answering her question.
“Your sister? Then is she wandering about these hills as well?” A measure of sharpness returned to her tone. Though Shri assumed whoever this unknown wolf was meant no harm as well, she could not let the comment slide without further explanation. However, a wry smile now curled the corners of her lips, her next words holding a hint of amusement. “She must be very annoying if you find yourself running away from her.” There was a question there. An offer for Evir to explain further if he so wished.

"Of course I mean no harm." Evir assured the female before his ears pricked up at the harsh tone returning. He didn't blame her, but once again a reassurance was within his tone, and a slight sneer on his face at wondering where his sister was.
"Chances are she will be looking for me on Common grounds. Probably acting as if I couldn't make it any farther then a few feet away from her side because of a small hold back I hold. She really needs to stop this small game of protector, but at last I fear she won't if I don't leave her side for good." He huffed out before noticing he was ranting towards the female.
"I apology for my little outburst, but see tends to get under my skin a lot.

Shri listened patiently as the mini rant left Evir's lips, the amusement she felt at his disgruntled words safely hidden away. She suspected the "small hold back" he spoke of had to do with his bad eye, but if he felt it was nothing to be babied over than she would believe him.
"I can tell," she drawled before her eyes narrowed contemplatively. "So you're escaping from your sister's oppressive presence. What are your plans then? Are you looking for a permanent home or are you just wandering?"
If Evir was without a home and trying to distance himself from his sister, it was possible he may be willing to consider a pack. Shri did not yet know what his strengths were and what he could offer her pack, but if he was a good fit for Maira she would not turn him down because of his eye.
