as scorchedfrost padded towards everbane mountain, the light frosty breeze blew gently through his fur, giving him a reminder of his childhood. he was born in the white forest, and the winter love made him happy inside. ever since he was a pup, he had heard so much about everbane mountain and its ruthless rulers, and had promised himself that he would see for himself the mysertious mountain. he neared the base, and he sure he was being watched. i mean, if the pack is as sly as the stories claim. the current leader was a wolf named hephaestus, and word on the plains was that he was one not to be messed with. although, scorchedfrost wasn't here for a fight. he was here to bask in awe of the mountain, and perhaps claim a story that he had met hephaestus.

The devil had to admit it was quite odd the number of visitors as Winter came, most wolves would wish to stay far away from the colder regions. This is half the reason that Hephaestus claimed the mountain, it was secluded and only able to enter one way. It was perfect for any battles that may or may not come, though knowing with his newest addition there was soon to be battles. A deep, thunderous chuckle echoed through the winter pines. Snow had began to thicken from slush to actual fluffy ice. The world was becoming a Winter Wonderland, which truly took over the beast. It was a delightful time of year and his most precious.
Hephaestus waltzed along as a cologne penetrated his nostrils and the beast motioned in that direction. It seemed that the scent was being quite polite, it sat at the base of the mountain and did not move. Well that was a first in sometime, the others felt the need to just invite themselves in. Tangerine eyes gazed across the borderline of the mountain entrance, until a figure appeared patiently waiting or so it seemed. The thick mocha coat shifted over the stocky and robust frame, noting the blue eyed male that sat looking in pure admiration at Everbane. As the devil approached closing the space between the two, yet standing on his side while the other sat on the opposing side.
Tilting the hefty cranium, as dangerous gaze spread over the male like wildfire. "What a lovely sight deary.." The baritones rippling in their haunting, yet eerie alluring tones. Hephaestus was interested in this male and knew his comment would be taken as he was speaking for the Mountain but in actuality he was speaking about the male. The devil stood watching intently, wondering as to why this wolf had ventured to the Mountains. Indeed Hep was not fearful but he was curious to see what the male's business was doing here, it was quite unlike visitors to come.

scorchedfrost turned his head to the male that approached him. his fur was rich brown with reddish hues, his eyes a vibrant and almost dangerous tangerine. scars were all over his stocky body, which made scorchedfrost wary. as the male spoke, scorchedfrost glanced back at the mountain. it was a magnificent sight to behold; its beauty was like no other, and what is beauty without a sense of danger? glancing back at the male, he noticed that he was blind in one eye, and the other was foggy. "living in these mountains has shown you a part of hell, hasn't it?"

Hephaestus watched the opposing male whom seemed calm and without any aggression, more or less as if he came to simply look upon the mountains and all their glory. It pleased the Overlord to get so many visitors lately and hopefully some of them would pay off into becoming pack members! Oh, it was a pure joy to see the pack grow little by little. He wasn't in any need for members but they were surely welcomed, even though the pack was small it did not bother the male at all. The opposing male watched him carefully, almost as intently as Hep had done to him. It was pleasing to see a wolf as observant as he, then words broke through his thoughts.
The question was blunt which the devil appreciated, it was nice from time to time to have others as blunt as he was. Amusing too for that matter, words soon fell from his lips. "Life has shown me Hell deary.." The comment was haunting and held a certain malicious tune that normally was not there. Hephaestus wasn't going to beat around the bush, yes life had brought him into Hell and produced a devil of course. Nostrils flared as he shifted his grand frame, tilting his skull and then allowed more noxious words to drip from his lips. "Tell me deary, what is your tag?" The beast questioned listening intently. Of course Hep was curious if this male had a pack and if he did not than why not investigate.
If the male did have a pack then of course there would be intense questioning as to why he had come to Everbane, the White Forest had no activity in the past weeks so it allowed a clear path to the mountains which may be as to why so many visitors lately. Oh, it was perfection. Maybe something horrid had happened to Cervantes? Whatever happened his devilish mind couldn't help but ponder on the subject as he waited for the opposing wolf to speak. Ears twisting this way and that, as he listened to the winds beginning to howl across the mountains. Such a welcoming tune to the beast as he sat enjoying this company thus far.

scorchedfrost was unsure if he should fear the male, but his curiosity was somewhat preventing it. his haunting voice and mysterious aura was both disturbing yet beautiful. "my name is scorchedfrost," he began bowing his head briefly. "i am a mere wanderer travelling across somerset; viewing all its beauties and horrors." he eyed the mountain intently, then glanced back at the male. "and you?"
