The small white wolf leaped onto a log, her paws wobbling with the way it rolled for a moment or two before becoming steady. Her head turned this way and that as she scanned the area around her, though it seemed to be rather void of life. She'd only left the safety of living with her parents a few days ago, but she was already finding herself rather bored being on her own. A sigh drifted from her maw as she leaped from the log onto the ground and pondered what to do with herself. She wasn't overly hungry, since she'd managed to catch a rabbit not too long ago, but she was extremely bored. She needed something to do to entertain herself, but what?
She gave her head a shake before trotting off, moving northward away from the area that she'd been in. The forest was oddly quiet, but it wasn't the silence that bothered her. No, it was the fact that now that she was on her own, she had nothing to do and no one to interact with. Not that her parents had been overly entertaining when she'd stayed with them, but at least they had been someone to talk to. Now she was completely alone and didn't even have that. Whoever had made the rule in her family that 'pups' should leave their parents after they hit a certain age had to have been completely clueless as to just how boring being alone was. Either that or they were some sort of crazy wolf that preferred to be alone.
Another sigh drifted from her muzzle and she stopped in a small clearing within the forest. Her shoulders lifted in a shrug as she figured this was as good a place as any to settle for the moment. She had no idea what she was doing or where she was going, and she didn't really want to stop wandering, but she was tired of thinking about what to do. Right now she was just going to do something. With a quick survey of the area to make sure no other wolves or predators were about she flopped onto the ground and rolled onto her back, squirming around to relieve the itch of her still shedding winter coat. Considering that the temperature around here really hadn't gotten all that high, her coat was only shedding a little bit, but it was still bad enough to cause some awfully uncomfortable itching.Itching done she rolled back onto her paws and let out a sigh of contentment. At least she could still do that on her own.

Kerberos
Foolish.
There was no other word more suitable for the King of the Black Coast wandering away from his home. Not a second thought ever really came from his mind though, there was no denying that he was in a state of hunger. Tongue was flicking out of his mouth over and over again like a snake. Someone that was so hungry that he was more than ready to begin preying on the outside feasts that were around him. What a temptation that was laced across his features, and he seemed completely out of sorts.
Fury, hunger; it was a dangerous combination for the arguably largest wolf on the entire island of Somerset. It was not a pretty thing to see the muscles moving, looking like he was going to rip out the throats of the first wolf he crossed. For the Cannibal, there was a fair chance that he would rip into the flesh and find enjoyment in the matter. His shoulders rolled and he grunted with the effort that was swirling through his body.
So much had changed, so many things had happened. Now he felt like his heart was going to explode out of his chest. The one-eyed wolf was not something to be messed with, and when he absently crossed the path of the new female he veered. His body twisted and he tensed, gritting his claws into the earth and he snarled hatefully. She had no idea what was coming toward her, but it was coming. He was coming, and he would not be defied.
"Come out, come out wherever you are..." Husky voice purred as he stalked the female effortlessly, his eyes shining as he approached. Opening his mouth carefully, and his shoulders tightened as he listened for any sort of sound that might have been her responding. "Pretty bird, come sing me your song..."

Kiva was jerked from her reverie by the sound of movement somewhere nearby. She spun around, her head turning this way and that and her eyes darting from tree to tree as she tried to spot the source of the movement. She might be young, but she wasn't stupid; she knew that everything was a threat until otherwise proven. Her heart hammered against her chest and she felt panic rising within her. If who, or what, ever this was decided to do/try something, her chances of survival on her own were slim to none and she knew it. Running might be an option, but there was no telling if the other knew this forest better than she did. Having been protected by her parents her whole life up until just recently, it wouldn't be hard for a wolf or critter to know these lands better than she. The hair on her back stood on end and she shifted restlessly as she tried to determine what her best course of action would be at the moment.
Her ears flicked atop her head as she picked up on the whispered mutterings of the unknown creature, and that just made her heart thump harder against her chest. Those words, combined with the tone, were all it took for the young female to leap into action. She didn't take the time to think, she just spun and darted off in whichever direction the voice hadn't seemed to be coming from. There was no telling what might happen; she could be running right into something much worse, or she could be running into general safety. A soft whimper escaped her chest as her little paws drummed against the ground while she ran.
((*OOC*: Sorry about the delay. I honestly got really busy IRL for a bit.))

Kerberos
Waiting, waiting.
Then he heard it, the bolt. It was enough to make him start, his eyes widening with the anticipation of a good hunt. The Cannibal salivated at the thought, not caring of the gender of his prey. They were fleeing, panicking, and he was all but a minute behind in his pace. He was like a monster, he was like a bear; he barreled after the female crackling the ground and snapping branches that might have reached out to stop him. He ran blind, just following the faintest sound of breathing, hoping to throw his jaws around something.
The hunger was not to be denied as he thundered after the body, growling eagerly as his body vibrated with the intensity. He was going to catch them and their reaction would be the consequence. Would he taste their flesh? Use them for pleasure? Beat them bloody? The thought was enough to have him pushing himself harder, wanting to go faster. It was a game of chase, and he had never lost. His mindless pursuit was barbaric, far beyond normal wolf nature.
Heart pounding in his ears, he roared his delight when he caught sight of a tail up ahead, crackling through the undergrowth. He was going to catch the wolf and teach it a lesson. Never to run, just to cower. To accept and there was nothing that could be denied. Mouth cracked open and tongue hung out of his mouth, eager on the matter, and his body shuddered with the eagerness.
"Come plaaaay!" His words sung, slightly winded as he snarled, snapping his jaws audibly at the air in front of him. He would catch up, he was gaining, oh he was gaining. He would get her and then they would tango.

Her paws thundered against the ground, mimicking the sound of her heart thundering in her chest. Her sides heaved with exertion as she did her best to outrun whatever creature had startled her. Her heart skipped a beat when she realized that she wouldn't be able to out run whatever it was that was chasing her. The sound of its voice was too close for comfort as it was and her mind worked in over time as she tried to figure out some way or another of avoiding this creature. Her parents would have offered some protection, she thought, but she had no way of finding them or even knowing where they were. Her other thought was that maybe some other wolf would protect her, but she was just barely away from her parents and didn't know any other wolves. A wail of despair built in her small chest, but she bit back the urge to let it loose.
Her paws ached from the run, sides heaving with her labored breathing. She'd never run quite this far before and the distance was taking its toll on her. All she wanted was to stop and drop from exhaustion, but the worry over what would happen to her if she just stopped kept her moving. Her gaze darted this way and that until she spotted a thick brush not too far away. Pushing herself as hard and quickly as she could she darted towards it, her smaller, somewhat still pup-like build being the only thing that allowed her to push through and into the brush. Her head dropped, though her heart still thundered from exhaustion and fear. A soft whimper escaped her and she knew there was nothing more she could do to protect herself. Her ears folded back against her head and she curled into as little of a ball as she could manage. All that was left to do was wait and see what fate had in store.

Kerberos
Shoulders trembled with the effort, and he knew that they could go on for hours if they chose. Unfortunately, it was spring and the winter had been hard on most of the bodies who had lived through it. His mouth watered with eagerness, and he all but purred like a feline might have sounded on the trees. It was enough to have him grinning stupidly as he closed in, seeing the pain and exhaustion slipping into her gait the further he drove her.
Until he came to a halt, the female having disappeared into the brush. His roar was one of frustration, she had stolen his chase just in the blink of an eye. When the male slowed to a trot, he was pacing back and forth, snarling and snapping at the bushes. It was not a pretty sight, his eyes wild as he stared. His tremors continued though, the excitement evident on his face. Oh, she would be a tasty morsel! When he caught her, oh when he caught her!
"Get out here!" The snarl was harsh on the air, "How dare you run from the son of a God!" His cry was merciless, dropping himself toward the earth as he paws at the brush. it was so thick; it irritated the male to no end as he attempted to figure out where she had gone in at. As long as he could get his head in, perhaps he could get a hold on her. Perhaps he could haul her out while she clawed his face to pieces.
His heart was still hammering in his chest as he lunged and sparred with the bush, cackling. "I won't eat you, pretty little girl. If you please me enough I'll just make you a slave.." His voice sung merrily, his tail lashing at the air in anticipation. He was being so sweet, he was being such a delightful male, all he could think about was pinning her to the ground, hearing her scream in terror. Oh hell! How was he going to get into this bush!
