Namiko was fed up. Completely and utterly fed up. She had been abandoned in her cave near the oddly beautiful rock staircase in the ocean. The one time she had ventured forth, she had met another most terrifying creature and she had had enough. She was living a life of utter boredom, shot through with moments of terror. She was so far removed from her former self that she grew furious at the injustice that had been done to her. She had sat still and let her soul be beaten for far too long already.
It was with surprising vigour that she stalked out of her den. A precursory sniff informed her that once again, Kerberos was not near by. Well, that would figure. She headed off towards the coast, taking the most direct route possible and slithering down the rocky cliffs. She didn't worry about the tinkle of pebbles clinking on one another - there would be no-one here to listen out for them. By the time anyone thought to check up on her, she would be long gone. As much as this was her home, she was not going endure this torture any longer. There would surely be other coastal areas in which she could settle down in - perhaps somewhere with a few friendly faces she could stick around with. She had endured far too many solitary nights to want any more.
She trotted to the waters end, mentally steeling herself for the biting cold before plunging into the white-tipped waves. The cloud was a heavy grey, with mist rolling off the sea. Yes, it was as though the ocean itself was intent on hiding her escape. Before long, her white coat would be swallowed up by the swirling mists, and her scent would be washed away by the hungry tide. For the first time in months she felt light and free, her eyes twinkling with that appreciation of life that she had almost lost. This was her hour, and nothing was going to interrupt her flight!

OOC: Sorry it is short - I've been feeling a little under the weather over the past few evenings :/
