Do i dare, disturb the universe?
[attr="class","itsover"]
Iiona was in the middle of padding along the beach, enjoying the comforting silence that nighttime offered. Moving one leg after the other, she took a deep breath and relaxed her muscles consciously as she exhaled, eager to reliever herself of the building tension between her shoulders. But, she was entirely distracted when, suddenly, a bright light began to illuminate the world around her. Muzzle swinging upwards, Iiona's eyes widened as she saw a bright streak of white against the darkness of the sky, a star hurtling down to earth. It was enough to make her balk for a moment, watching it apprehensively as it fell, closer and closer at an ever rapid pace.[break][break]
Because it was not on course for the Island, instead dashing through the stars to aim for the rest of Somerset, Iiona calmed herself some. And, as a result, she was unprepared for the sudden jarring wave of light as soon as the comet dipped below the horizon. Momentarily blinded, Iiona's eyes shut as she ducked her head against the unexpected brightness. But, as a voice rang out through her mind, her eyes snapped open and her ears pricked to attention as she listened, hanging on to every word as thoughts began racing through her mind.[break][break]
A goddess, she realized reverently, Like Lupe and Rannock. A god has come to bless us. And, as a result, she was almost too sheepish to ask for a gift. But, she knew that she would require power, true power, if she wanted to protect her pack. If she chose to remain the way she was simply because she was too embarrassed to ask, Iiona would be easily outclassed by any wolf from the mainland if they wished to challenge her, and that would not do. So, tilting her head back, she began to speak.[break][break]
"I ask for the power to control gravity," Iiona howled, images of levitating small rocks or weighing down prey as they attempted to scramble into the trees flashing through her mind. "So that I may live up to my title as alpha and protect my pack for all my days!"
