CHER
as sure as she was moving in circles, was she also travelling forward, backward and nowhere at all
Oh, gods, she was hungry. Her body shook from the pangs that wracked her frame, yet the female was nowhere close to starving to death. Even if she had been, the Forest that was her Home would have provided her with bountiful blessings of prey already. It was simply that Cher was bored of the same all the time, and if she had spilled even a drop of blood on the ground the jaguars would have come by in a matter of minutes to chase her away - she had always taken her kills, small and clean, to another place away from them to eat in peace. Still her stretched body needed rest, and as soon as shore was in sight she pulled herself onto the merciful land, tiredly shaking herself off and collapsing in a lanky, furry heap. "were I but a bit stronger," Cher whispered to the wind, half wishing that she had begged Chaos for Strength instead of Knowledge, half knowing that she might be able to do that soon - if only she had rest before she continued to find sustenance. NOTES: Just thought I'd tag you, Kenren , since it is claimed by you.

SHAW GRAVES As a youth, Shaw often pondered the briny scent that wafted from the west toward his home. Even now, the memory of it lingered in the back of his mind like some unanswered riddle, as he never had any reason to leave the Plains for the sake of expanding his knowledge, for being able to fathom the smell once and for all.
Such action was hardly necessary when the grassland provided him with everything he needed: family, friends, shelter. Extraneous knowledge was a luxury, and one that went largely unwanted in past years.
Now, things were quite the opposite. Home, at present, was too painful a place to return. Shaw had to wonder if the melting snow of spring would reveal scars from where the Gold Plains had been ravaged by fire, or if those scars had since faded, chilled and healed by the ice of winter. He could not tell, because he avoided the area.
It seemed as good a time as ever to follow those familiar but unusual scents, those unexplored trails that led west, if only to learn, if only to keep his mind from wandering to the past.
As he ambled through the forest, uncoordinated and slow-moving in the thick brush, another scent mingled with that of the brine. His ears straightened atop his skull as he studied it. Before long, he realized that another wolf was nearby, and a female, at that.
Upon noticing her form seconds later, Shaw was surprised that he did not see her sooner, given her fiery pelt. She stood out like a flame against the budding greenery of the undergrowth, and it was this quality that held his attention for several moments before, finally, he realized that she seemed to have collapsed from exhaustion.
Concern quickened his steps until he was a courteous distance from her. He forced his amber eyes not to look her over as though she were some rarity, all dark legs and bright fur, despite the inherent need to. He had never seen someone quite so... different.
After clearing his throat, he spoke, gently inquiring about her state in his usual, subdued tone. “Ma'am? Need help?”
It seemed the woods here held more than interesting smells. The sights were mighty unusual, too. @cher , Kenren (?) Sorry for the novel. Hope you don't mind me joining in! xD WOLF STOCK BY KATI OF DAWNTHIEVES • TABLE CODED BY EMBER

joker er rai. Joker had, in all honesty, been sleeping. Dreaming. Completely ignoring everything.
It wasn't very alpha-like behavior, but Joker wasn't much of an alpha. A caretaker, a guardian, but not really a leader of men. He'd come to terms with that recently, actually. Why try to be his father when he'd hated his father? That just didn't make any sense.
But nonetheless, he became slowly aware of movement. Then voices. There was nothing alarming in them, though, so he allowed himself to wake slowly, languidly in his spot of sun, before stretching to his feet. Someone could need help, or directions, or something to otherwise entertain them. He should probably make himself available. The thought that they could be dangerous briefly flitted in his mind, but it was only an idle thought. They weren't likely to be dangerous to anyone but him, after all, and his own safety was a touch-and-go concern. It was his family he cared for, and the odd interloper wasn't likely to be an issue.
It was, in fact, two interlopers. Aside from hearing the voices themselves, he hadn't heard any of what had been said, but the way they both held themselves told him that they weren't really acquainted. It would be far too awkward to slide back into the undergrowth now that he'd interrupted with his presence, so he said with all the grace of a landlocked walrus, "Ahhh, hello."

CHER
as sure as she was moving in circles, was she also travelling forward, backward and nowhere at all
She was pleasantly interrupted by a pleasant scent, then pleasantly-spaced footsteps, followed by a pleasant voice. Pleasant amber eyes, too, or maybe that was just the delirium speaking. Or not. Those were really pretty eyes. Cher was trapped in the rambling manner of starving men, she found easily, and there was no doubt of the fact that she absolutely had to prank this dude in her mind. Oh, what she would give for a piece of gamey hare right now, or a nice, plump rabbit. Or even a paltry bird with the meat stuck to its stick-thin bones. "No food go." She muttered in (hopefully) the most stuttery way possible, trying to trick the guy into believing she didn't know the common language of the land. And then she looked up and pleaded at him with her eyes, trying to beg silently for food - if doing so and ruining her pride was what it took to get a bite without having to get up and walk, then so be it! She could feel the concern in his voice and his stance and his general attitude with that power she'd been "blessed" with anyway. She'd also made a note not to accept random powers from benevolent strangers. "Food" she insisted further, when he made no move to move (heh). Her sharp nose did not miss the coming of another wolf, also male, also probably slightly concerned wrapped and presented with a teeny side of awkwardness. Cher turned her judging gaze to him, half-crazed by the ever-so-present hunger and half-petulant that there were now three wolves on the island, including her, and nobody had even a piece of meat to snack on. Come to think of it, they all looked perfectly hale, healthy, and hole (heh heh) and she was probably a crazy stranger who had just happened to wash up on the shore. Her watery eyes pinned the newcomer with a judgmental stare. "Food? Am Cher."NOTES: Kenren Ember lmao i'm an arse

SHAW GRAVES After speaking his question, Shaw got to thinking maybe the lady hadn’t heard him. He opened his mouth, wondering if maybe she was needing him to talk more louder, but then all at once she was replying. Her words was clipped and short, and if not for his ears perking forward on their own, he was fearing he wouldn’t have heard none of them at all.
She was wanting food, he gathered. Made sense, considering she was laying that way on the ground. She was skinny for a wolf, too, and Shaw, he wasn’t real sure if that was ’cause she was hungry or if she was just made that way. But it wasn’t really his place to be deciding that, and well, she was looking up at him with her pale yellow eyes anyhow. Seemed that she was hurting for his help.
A fact she was making more clearer each second, ’specially when she fussed again. “Food.”
A patient smile crinkled his amber eyes, but he didn’t get no chance to reply. Another wolf, he was peeking through the bushes at their side. Shaw watched him for some seconds, letting his nose get to working. The male, he seemed like he was from nearby, what with how his fur was smelling of the land. Maybe he lived here.
Shaw nodded. “’Lo.”
The female, she was speaking again then, and Shaw looked at her. Cher, her name was. And she still was wanting food.
One side of his lips was getting pulled up a bit by a curious grin. What a tough spot him and this third wolf had gotten theyselves into. He was giving the younger male a bit of a look from the side of his eye, wondering if he might know if there was food to be having near here. To sate the lady.
“Cher.” He took another step in her direction. “Can ya stand?” If she could, they was all better off. Three wolves was a lot better at killing prey than one, after all. @cher , Kenren YAY, JOKER! And Cher: so many lols. Sorry for the wait, guys! WOLF STOCK BY KATI OF DAWNTHIEVES • TABLE CODED BY EMBER
