The sky was falling.
Azain whined at the edge of the water, ears pinned and tail clamped in uncertainty. She'd seen falling stars before - tons of them! - but this wasn't that, not at all. Her imagination needed hardly any time to flash through any number of possibilities, each less logical than the last, that kept running until the moment the comet hit the horizon
Or rather, until it didn't.
The flash of light caused Azain to whine again, spots blocking her vision even as the goddess' voice rang through her head. Suddenly, instead of fear, the female felt awe. Excitement. Not because she wanted power in the traditional sense, because who was she possibly going to dominate? No, it was because it felt like adventure, and she craved adventure like she craved a storybook ending, like a prince, like a hero. It was too enticing. She didn't actually think before she spoke, just impulsively spewing out that which was one of her greater loves.
"Oh please, can I make the flowers grow and bloom whenever I want? Can you do that? Even if it was cold like on the mainland?" Her body practically vibrated with excitement, and her voice rang loudly in the quiet.
